I'd been following Lit Books for some time on social media, then had our 1st visit of what will be many, many visits. An absolute jewel of a bookstore with a staff that is engaged, refreshingly pleasant and knowledgeable (Sunday Oct 13.24). The moment we walked in, my wife and I both agreed, the store had the distinct smell of what a bookstore should smell of, new books, new knowledge and an invitation to explore, not the normal trinkets and toys one might find elsewhere. Personally, when I happened upon Didion's 80'+90's essays, I knew right then, this is my type of bookstore. Absolutely. My wife agreed, we were hooked.

We bought 4 beautifully delicious books.

After living in Sydney, i’ve had a greater appreciation for literature and independent stores. The service and passion of the owners are exceptional, I working the retail industry myself and I have never seen people who know basically every single item in their store. Forget independent stores, this is my absolute favourite bookstore that i’ve ever been to. The selection is wonderfully curated and i’m never going to run out of books to buy because there’s a surprisingly decent selection available for each genre.
