The facilities Not too much facilities since it's a serviced apartment, but mini markets, grocery shops, clothing store, cafe and generally a variety of shops and are opened, making everything in reach.
The environment The environment is generally clean and maintained periodically. Cleaning work is done on a frequent basis, rubbish bins are available almost everywhere. Good amount of greenery, generally pleasant environment.
The residential areas Not too much comment here for now. Car parks are well lit at night, security guards secure the areas even at night, a place to stay with a peace of mind. There are well built lifts for vertical access.
Car parks Car parks here are mostly inadequate for guests and mainly cater towards Village Grocer customers. There simply aren't enough carparks for visitors and is not likely to change in the future given the building structure.
Cost of living Cost of living is generally high. It's expected to spend over RM12 for each meal in Tropicana Avenue. Things are generally not cheap.
Education Only education nearby are the SJK(C)Damansara and the St. Joseph International School. The presence of international school can be one of the reason of inflated living costs. Education is generally accessible with national secondary schools not too far away.
Transport Near to a MRT Bus Stop. Easy access to the MRT railway system. Travelling is generally convenient. However, the traffic jam during school end hours is quite severe, highly advised to watch the school end time and plan travel appropriately.
Healthcare Access Pharmacy, Dentistry are all accessible via shops in Tropicana Avenue. Most of basic needs can easily be found. Spa and massage centers can be found. Beauty shops are also found here with cosmetic surgeries available. Good healthcare access makes this place a convenient place to stay.
Population Population is generally well mixed with mainly Chinese, Malay, Indians and foreigners. Most of the population are from decent families, reflected by their generally high expenditure in shops. Overall the population density is satisfactory, with customers in shops frequently and large amount of residents.
Weather Weather is generally fine throughout the day. But expect occasional thunderstorms, strong winds and severe weather. Occasionally, the network can go down due to severe weather.
Serviced Apartment The most important issue. Serviced apartment is classified as commercial building. The water and electricity rates are different from residential building such as condominium. The maintenance fees are uncapped. Might be a concern in the future if not now.
Conclusion A generally good place to stay, but general high living costs and the "serviced apartment" status should be considered before choosing this as a place to stay. A variety of shops available but not enough parking...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1st, 2nd floor of this mall is pretty dead & quiet. Even before MCO 2020. Parking is pretty difficult, as the corners is extremely tight, and parking lot is extremely small. You can see scratch marks all over the walls.
Also way it is design is weird. You need to drive to the back alley, to park at 2nd floor, then need use the fire escapee, then take 2 flights of stairs (yes stairs) down to ground floor. You will emerge from a obscure and hidden door. Then you need to take the escalator up to 1st or 2nd floor of the mall. I find it strange.
Looking at it, seems this place isn't designed for people who drive. If you want to come to this mall, I would suggest using your driver or taxi/grab.
Ground floor of the mall looks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGave 1 star for the horrendous parking space and toilet facilities in this building. Please NEVER drive any car bigger than MyVI into this building unless you have the ability to shrink your car when you come out from the parking lot or if you have spare money to fix the scratches on the car. Really tight space in the parking lot and toilet is so dim and looks like a haunted house. It's obvious that many cars have been "sacrificed" here from the marks on the walls. To save you the stress and money, please either just grab here or pay rm8 for the ground floor...
