Having here from my cousin’s recommendation. Dine in on weekdays and I feel so relax since the restaurant is not busy. I came together with my sister and my 3 child. Basically we just eat a small portion hence we ordered the smallest portions of the meal which is Texas Star (lean) just for trying. The lean meat (brisket) was so dry and not juicy. I feel a little bit frustrated hence I rated it as 2/5. It’s a star of the show, and I really hope the chef might be able to consider to improve the texture, taste and the quality of the smoked meat. However together in the set, there is a mashed potato which is SOSSOSOSOSOSO GOOD !! 👍. Please give a try for their mashed potato 🥳😍..but the coleslaw and the bread in the meal set is average.
Next, we also tried their mac and cheese. The portion is quite big for Asian ( I share it together with my 3 children) and it is worth the price. The taste was so good and I rated it 4/5. If you aren’t a mac and cheese lover, and you come alone, you might reconsider to order this since the big portion of mac and cheese can make you feel queasy. But I love it thou !
Then we tried beef sausage since it is the best seller. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR BEEF SAUSAGE. It was so so deliciousss and I guess the sausage is a homemade recipe (chef’s kiss 👌). The sausage is better when you eat it in hot.
On the other hand we also ordered the spicy lamb sausage and the taste is quite horrible. The smell of the sausage lamb was not pleasant. It smell like you eating a raw lamb 😅. I rate it as 2/5.
Lastly we ordered the BB wingette & drumette. It is 4/5, the taste was good/average. 12pcs in a one set. It comes with the sauce. Then we ordered glasses of cold water which is self service and glass size is big and it is refillable. The restaurant also gives us a try a sample of chili con carne. It is quite tasty, it is basically minced meat cooked with tomato sauce. Thank you. I spent RM 100 here and I can say it is good one and I might consider to come again but not in the...
Read moreI’ve been longing to come and try the BBQ here. Been hearing lots of good things bout the place so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed !
The outlet is located outside of the building facing the main road. It was super convenient as you can park inside the building and the fare is quite cheap. Just try not to get lost inside the building to ge to the restaurant.
For the dining area, you can choose whether to dine indoor or outdoor. There were quite a number of staffs so getting assistance was not hard. I would say the staffs are quite friendly especially the one which i assume is the manager. The place was clean and you get to experience the rustic american BBQ style ambience with its iconic slow cooker and chopped logs.
So for the food, we ordered the Relationsheep (refer picture). You can view the full menu online or just check it out at the counter. The staff were helpful in helping us choosing our food. You can actually swap some items from any combo and pick the one you prefer. I find that great as you can add more proteins of your choice instead of having to eat those that you least like.
The ones we had was awesome ! The can definitely taste the rubs and spices. Our brisket was super tender and not to mention the “fall of the bone” ribs. It was also very moist. My friend really liked their pulled beef. The one i least like was the lamb sausage as it was a bit tough and not really flavorful. Btw you’ll find 4 diff condiments on the table to add to your dishes (chic sauce, lamb sauce, spicy BBQ sauce and smoky BBQ sauce). Their lemonade is free flow so chug all you want ! It’s super refreshing ngl.
Overall, it was a great experience. The place was not crowded and you dont have to wait long for your food (prepared on the spot). I would definitely come again for the ribs and brisket. Kudos...
Read moreI wish I could say this BBQ joint lived up to the hype, but unfortunately, it was a total letdown – and I’m not just talking about the ribs. After seeing all the glowing reviews and social media videos, we thought we’d hit the jackpot. Spoiler alert: We did not.
Let’s talk about the food first. Overpriced, underwhelming, and not worth the calories. The ribs? Meh. The sauces? Even worse. They tasted like they were also quite close past their shelf life. Definitely not the mouthwatering BBQ we had been promised.
Then there was the service – or lack thereof. Our server couldn’t tell us the difference between two cuts of meat, and instead of trying to get an answer, he just shrugged said " ini... tak pasti la" and we got the same answer for other queries. No effort was made to even maybe go check with the other staff or the kitchen.
At one point, I honestly thought I’d seen more enthusiasm from a rock. And, as if that wasn't enough, several of their crews were seen just glued to their mobiles, one of the staff members was literally lying over the counter with his head down like he was in time-out. Super professional, right?
To top it all off, the vibe in the place was more "we’re just here for a paycheck" than "let’s make sure our guests have a great experience." It was the kind of lunch where we considered leaving before we even got our food.
Bottom line: Save your money, save your time, and don’t fall for the social media hype. We won’t be back, and honestly, you’re better off grabbing ribs from your local supermarket and grilling them at home. At least you’ll know what you’re getting. For this price, there's a whole lot of options nearby that would be a far less painful...
