Our wonderful stay in Gozo would not have been the same without our stay at the magnificent Viewpoint Boutique Living. The family owned and run hotel is exceptional and Doreen and George take great pride in making your stay as comfortable and relaxing as is humanly possible. We were made to feel extremely welcome and as if nothing was too much trouble, whether it be simply getting drinks by the pool, requesting recommendations for delicious restaurants or seeking information about places to visit during our stay. Doreen’s exceptional knowledge of the island and its delights was key to us getting the most from our stay and she is very happy and willing to share this knowledge with you, usually during a relaxed chat after breakfast.

Breakfast at Viewpoint Boutique Living is delightful and something I very much looked forward to. There is great coffee, including espresso, latte and cappuccinos, as well as tea and fruit juices. You will find cereal, cold meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurts as well as more traditional english breakfast items but the most interesting of all are the delicious local delicacies that vary from day to day.

We stayed in a room called Randa that was wonderfully comfortable and beautifully decorated. The room had a great little mini-bar, excellent bathroom with shower and spectacular views from the balcony down towards the bay at Xlendi. The room was extremely clean and was serviced each day during our stay. The wifi worked great as did the air conditioning.

We found the location of Viewpoint Boutique Living perfect as it was only a short walk (10 minutes) down into Xlendi where there are some great restaurants but also only a short drive (never more than 15 minutes) to a whole host of brilliant restaurants. The hotel is also isolated enough that is was peaceful at nighttime and we had no trouble getting to sleep. The hotel is just a 5 minute drive from Victoria but the furthest point on the island from you is still only a 20 minute drive at the very most.

The pool is delightful and very refreshing during hot summer days, it is also free from chlorine adding to its appeal. Although there is no bar at Viewpoint Boutique Living Doreen and her staff regularly check to see if drinks or a selection if food platters and snacks are required whilst you enjoy both the sun and views from the poolside area. The well stocked mini bar caters for drinks in your room and is restocked each day.

Myself and my now fiancé got engaged whilst staying at Viewpoint Boutique Living and Doreen was so helpful in recommending the best spot for us to enjoy the evening sunset, not to mention organising transport and providing a lovely bottle of prosecco complete with glasses, ice bucket and cool bag. This just shows the lengths to which all at Viewpoint Boutique Living are willing to go to so that your stay will never be forgotten. It will certainly live long in our memory and we plan to visit again next year before honeymooning there the following year.

I knew that Viewpoint was an excellent accommodation; not only had I seen the stellar reviews but it was also recommended to us by friends. I hadn't expected it to be excellent to the point of perfection. It hits you immediately as you walk in, you will find Doreen to welcome you. She has a natural charisma that should be the envy of all other hosts. No trained receptionist could possibly emulate her innate charm. There is also something intrinsically calming about the place, perhaps the beautiful furnishings and decorations, perhaps the incredible views, or perhaps it's having a fresh and filling breakfast in a rural idyll. Perhaps it's a bed so comfortable that, after months of stress due to my work as a frontliner, I felt I had finally rested. Doreen, I never asked you, what magic is that mattress made of? I still dream about it today. I was also impressed by how seriously they took precautions measures because of the COVID pandemic. Alcohol hand rub is placed in enough locations so you are sure to have sanitised hands at all times. The cleanliness was impeccable. We were offered breakfast in our room at no extra cost. Incredibly, at a time when the hotel was fully booked, it barely felt like there was anyone else there. I had my mind at rest the entire time that we were safe. Another thing about Doreen (seriously, what an amazing host, you are a star) is that she will endeavor to make you feel accommodated. What an amazing b&b ! We stayed in three different places during our stay in Malta & Gozo (all with very high ratings and many facilities). However, this is the only place i I would recommend! What sets a good hotel/b&b apart from a great one, is in my opinion 3 things . 1. Amazing service: Doreen is incredibly friendly , she not only made us feel very welcome but also helped us understand the island better so we could easily visit many things in little time, with little research. 2. Going above and beyond: the breakfast was much more than one would expect of a b&b and great quality! Also we really appreciated the effort of booking the bolt! 3. Comfort. A really great hotel means you dont have to worry or think about anything as a guest. Everything is arranged in the details. The room literally had everything you could wish for and even things i wouldn't have thought of . Small things can make a big difference.(Like a cotton face pads, slippers, a very full mini-fridge, deodorant in the pool toilet, ...) . I really wish we could have stayed longer!
