Arzella Apartments — Hotel in Munxar

On arrival the apartment was lovely and clean, but we were sold a pup! We had stayed here 3 times before previously twice in a deluxe apartment and once in a standard plus due to being unable to book deluxe. I booked direct this year as was only able to book a standard apartment through our usual booking agent and knew we didn’t want that. On contacting the apartments I asked for deluxe and was told he would give me his best apartment (the penthouse!) we always book a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment due to being two ladies. On arrival only 1 bed was made up, I messaged straight away asking about bedding for the second bed and to say the apartment was not suitable and if we could change apartments, with no response. The next morning there was no hot water for showers and I messaged him again, he rang and explained he was in Malta, had only made up 1 bed as it was 2 people, I did respond by asking why would we book a 2 bedroomed apartment if we only needed 1! He said he would come and see me the next day! He did arrange bedding for the second bedroom, he did not come and see me, he did not respond to messages and we had cold water for the whole week! Also there was a sewage smell that got progressively worse during the week. Did not report it as knew there would be no response. Be aware the penthouse has 2 balcony’s, no comfortable seating area inside! To sit inside you have a dining table and 4 chairs! The apartments are nicely situated in Xlendi but after such a bad experience we will not...

This is a modern apartment in the heart of Xlendi, a charming fishing village in Gozo. It is very welcoming as soon as you step in, very bright, well maintained with modern decor. There are several pluses, such as the strong internet connection, tv with many channels, fridge loaded with drinks, all at reasonable prices, free-of-charge air conditioners, and so on. Thank you also for accepting to host our young french bulldog, he really felt comfortable too and surely enjoyed his stay :-)
