After months of lock down we decided to give this place another chance as the last curry was a disappointment , well I don’t understand how people can say this restaurant provides a good curry. We had two vindaloos ordered and have been eating this strength for 55 years and understand taste and texture Well as before ( but this time the heat was so explosive I couldn’t taste a thing) all they did was provide a brown gravy looking curry with loads Of green chillies and dried chilly flakes thrown in. For the first time in over thousands of curries I could not eat it, and had to put it in the bin. It is such a shame to have two Indian restaurants on the island and both offering sub standard meals. Sapana is an amazing experience which if one is in Xlendi, should not miss. The Chef, in terms of food caters for everyone's taste, as from not spicy to spicy. The menu provides soups, as the lentils soup Dhal Shorba. As Starters my favourite is the Seekh Kebab, and I had the marvalous opportunity to enjoy the chicken korma, which is water mouthering, perfect for people which are new into Indian food. As soon as I saw this place on google maps I knew we had to go! We tried to visit on the friday night, foolishly we didnt reserve a table, it was fully booked so we had to book a table for Saturday, it was well worth the wait! The service was excellent, very friendly staff. The food was amazing, lovely soft naan breads, highly flavoured curry, the onion bhaji were some of the best I've had!
