I ate at this restaurant, because it was recommended by my tour guide. She told us that the food is excellent and very cheap (7e/meal). Upon arrival I realised that the restaurant was like those in Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares. They didn't give us a menu only told us that they have pasta, chicken nuggets and burgers. We ordered and when the food arrived the bun of the burger was wet(there were drops of water on it. The burger didn't have anything else apart from a patty and soggy bread. There was a salad next to it, but the cucumber was old and soft. The fries were soft and out of the fridge. My friend had ordered a pasta with tomato sauce. Her pasta wasnt even cooked at some parts. We sent our burgers back and most of my friends hadn't eaten any of it. The manager stormed out of the kitchen agressively and tried to force us to pay. He said:"You order food, you pay", he went to stand in front of us to prevent us from paying. In the end we walked out and didn't pay for the food, because the food and service...
Read moreThis is the one and only place You MUST visit when staying im Xlendi. Do not get annoyed or discouraged by the tricky opening hours - just talk to the Staff and plan Your dinner, supper or whatever. What You will get as a return for initial effort is a big, well served and trully delicious portion of whatever You choose to order. I personnaly can recommend having seafood dishese or rabbit - those were just breathtaking. It's worth mentioning that both the waiters and the cook make of a great team and put effort to deliver best quality of meals to You, but also the bosses will make You feel like a true guest. Seashell Bistro is a true gem and it is in Your best interest to go and get some meals there. Also, go for the local wine, it's super tasty. I loved this place and dined here every two days, for two weeks. Never have been disappointed....
Read moreI would’ve given a 0 star if possible, my experience of this restaurant was on a tour of Gozo. We stopped off for a lunch at around 12pm not knowing what we where walking into. As we entered we were commanded upstairs and sat down, felt as if we where on a military experience. Waiters and staff pointing at people using the expressions “you”. Two choices for our food (this being due to the tour, they did have a bigger menu) being pasta or soup. Second course was chicken or an omelette, the chicken was undercooked and completely unappealing. Overall I would avoid this restaurant and it set a bad tone for the rest of the day going forward. An...
