KaXurrasco — Local services in Maputo

Went to KaXurrasco with a group of friends and food flavour was alright but service was very poor having in mind a pre-paid reservation was made, even tho it’s a consumable amount we expected them to be ready to be able to take care of the number of people. Firstly some of the orders were mixed and two of the orders were forgotten, meat came cold and the side dishes took another 10-15 min so we had to eat the main dishes before the side dishes! Beside eating cold food I am not sure if they did not have utensils to serve de side dishes so for whatever reason they mixed some of the ordered side dishes into one for everyone. And last but not least our drinks took more than 30 min to be served and also some of the drinks were forgotten.

Also when we tried to talk to the manager he showed almost no interest on receiving ou feedback as we had to call him at least 3-4 times. We also saw the owner walking up and down there but also with no interest on how well are we being served as no one came to our table to ask if everything was alright at any moment.

I’d recommend Kaxurrasco to improve these aspects because as for a first experience (as it was ours) and we had great expectations but it was not great.

Atmosphere was great but overall food and services ended up ruining...

We had our team year end party and team building in this place, they actually closed the place just to accommodate us and serve us. We were a team of around 60, and the place had space for the entire team and the food was great and they kept serving for this huge group without any issue. So I would definetly recommend the place for year end parties. I have never visited during normal day so not sure if it was great because of dedicated focus on our group. But it is definitely a must...

The service was far from acceptable. I asked for a whiskey sour and they brought me a old fashion forcing me to believe i was wrong about the hundreds of cocktails I've once had the pleasure to experience. The owner did not bother to assist and the manager was worse than the staff. For the first time in a long while i do not recommend this establishment. I truly hope they improve just so, Maputo's restaurant and our peoples kind nature, do not get affected by these folks...
