Volare Bar Pizzaria & Restaurante — Restaurant in Maputo

My wife ordered pizzas from Volare today and had an absolutely horrible experience.

She ordered the pizzas at 18:55 and it only arrived at 20:45. During this time she tried calling the reception but they did not answer to give an update on our order.

When the pizzas finally arrived, they were cold, dry and tasted really unsavoury.

When she called to complain, the manager didn’t even have the decency of hearing the complaint himself. She had to complain to the receptionist who relayed the message to the manager. He was indifferent and unprofessional.

He said that next time we order we will get a small discount, however, with the experience today, I will never order from this store again and I will tell my friends and family to not support this business.

I urge you to not support this business and spend your hard earned...

Great, lively little restaurant/bar just behind Avenida Mao Tse Tung. Good music playing and a youthful, lively crowd of fashionable people to watch and hang out with.....also reasonably priced beers on tap and in bottles, with friendly and attentive service. PLUS the food is great......I'd purposefully avoided pizza joints, in favour of searching for Mozambique food, but seems COVID has caused many places to close - so I ended up attracted by the liveliness of Volare. Volares has it’s own unique soul! The food is good and the atmosphere is also great. Can improve the service though, waiters get confused sometimes and take long to give menus, collect orders or even bring the drinks.

The live DJ experiences are of another kind. Is very intimate, full of bright and joyful faces. Ahhh everyone feels at ease.. from families to groups of friends or for a date, it is a pleasant place to be and have a nice time!
