Outrageous prices for subpar quality products. It's honestly criminal how they get away with it. It's very obvious everyone at university is forced to shop there out of convenience/necessity, considering this is the closest place for the 2000+ inhabitants of the Luna and Aurora student apartments, as well as the students and employees of TU/e. And they know this too, and as such have their selection of products tailored towards both groups (those at TU/e for classes or work, and those living on campus) and price it much higher than you would find at the nearby Lidl/AH.
Anti-theft warnings, measures, and reminders that you are under constant 24/7 surveillance plastered literally everywhere around the shop make it a very unwelcoming and hostile place (even though 99% are not going to steal anything), and the generic upbeat dance music and the design somehow makes it all worse. Also very interesting how the unhealthy products have stickers telling you to eat healthier, but their healthy alternatives are priced higher compared to the unhealthy products. They need to rethink the entire approach...

The food price is at least thrice or four times that of the Lidl, the selection is poor, and the staff is paid so little that they tend to not care about their work and less about the customers. Addictive and unfulfilling junkfoods are promoted next to unaffordable ´healthy´ options, leading to a confusing message. The last thing a student needs. The store attempts to force the shopper out as fast as possible with glaring color palets and loud music. No wonder the staff chagrined and distracted...

Despite raising this issue, there seems to be little effort from staff or management to resolve the situation, which I find questionable from a consumer rights perspective. Additionally, the shopping environment feels uncomfortable due to a noticeable level of surveillance – with two employees positioned at the exit and monitors displaying live footage of customers. If there were a suitable alternative nearby, I would prefer to...
