De Zwarte Doos — Restaurant in Eindhoven

Dear readers,

I went to this restaurant to have a drink. The first impression was a good one. I sat outside and I really liked the view. There were alot of students passing by.

I only had some water there so I can't say much about the food/drinks. A colleague paid so also cant give information about the price.

The service was pretty good. As soon as she finished helping other costumers she helped us. And it also didn't take too long before our drinks arrived.

Overall, i give this place a 4 out of 5 starts because of the view and the service.

"due to a party we aren't allowed to serve anything but deep fried stuff till 19:00". Okay, so if I order at 19:00, could I have finished a main course by 19:30,because I have a meeting then. "yeah, probably." 19:00 hours: me; Can I order now? "Actually, we only have deep fried food the rest of the night, because we also haven't had any deliveries." So now I have to choose to go into the meeting hungry or with huge digestive problems. Thanks guys. So very much...

Nice serting and ambiance, with good selection of food and beers (though not excessive). I think of it more as a place where you can have some decent lunch/dinner with people from the University, guests, etc. while still on the campus (i.e. not requiring to go to the busier restaurants in the city center).
