Thank you for replying the previous owner had not 1 bit of customer service in there body. And as a long term resident I remember picking up takeaway as a kid. those days are definitely numbered. but some of the changes (for the worse still remain) I will elaborate as it would seem like you wish to fix the problems of the past, I suspect you are also a long term resident and were glad to uplift the service :)
My recent visit under new management... Yes I have been back since. the new fit out is pleasing on the eye, but do realise a takeaway outlet is just that we come for the food and service not the fancy dacore. but at least it represents a clean tidy place. so atmosphere I rated 4 stars. the Food, no major change there, it is just more expensive, I would still like to see more typical takeaway items on the menu, maybe ask your customers what is missing or what can be improved. e.g. I think a bacon and egg burger still comes with a meat pattie, the bacon is not a substitute it is a add-on. the price of the Food is way too high for a takeaway outlet. but now that you have re-modelled you will need to recoup those funds (that is now a cost to the customer). please note that in business a fair price will bring a larger number of people than a high price, and the margin per item might be lower but the total profit will much higher due to volume, you seem to run a ton of really good staff, so maybe that will be killing your profit. in a takeaway outlet everyone needs to go go go, otherwise jobs get cut due to low profits. Food I rated 3 due to the price. not hurrying back. The main reason for not being more of a regular is Takeaway outlets are meant to be open 7 days a week and until 9pm on a Friday and Saturday night. because 8pm is the time we go looking for food, and the turkish place gets our money with great value. hence I rated 3 stars. so it is up to you how you run the place, but it saddens me that in Kerikeri it is cruise time, knock off when we please.
I will try again and I will reconsider this review. I hope hours will be better and there will be american hotdogs...

I have taken snapper over to Haruru takeaways on numerous occasions and was charged literally a third of the price and the service was outstanding! When I queried the price the lady started to have a crack at me for not cleaning my snapper properly (scales). I admit I accidentally left a rib in there which I meant to bin but the other 4 were fine. Read moreThis place always been a must visit when we are around on the last 16 years. I keep telling everyone this place is the best F&C in NZ.... Until last weekend... I wouldn't complain about the price ($64 for 4 fish, 2 scoops of chips, 4 squid ring and few onion rings) IF the quality is reflected in the price. However we paid a very overpriced dinner, for a way below average food. Soggy fish, salty chips, (feels like) shop bought pre frozen squid and onions. It wasn't inedable, but I'm sure you can find far better fish and chips for the fraction of the price. I'm very sorry, but I don't think we will stop by here next...
