Singho Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

Giving a five-star because of the precise timing and quick service. We're just visting the area and needed a takeaway dinner so we had a look on Google and found this shop.

We were told to wait fifteen minutes, and it was ready exactly on time, when a worker brought it out to us (in the courtyard outside the store). We appreciated this, since times at other stores are usually approximate.

Its somewhat hard to spot from the road (central Kerikeri), it's main sign being hidden behind the ivy leaves and umbrellas that are scattered around the courtyard. However, Google Maps does have the correct location if you get lost. There is parking on the road and a carpark nearby as well.

Food was yummy even though it was a different flavour to what we were used to. We got a Fried Rice and Chicken Cashew and both were provided in plastic containers inside a paper bag. The Chicken Cashew spilled a little in the car ride, so make sure to keep the bag upright.

Overall, this was a great Thai food shop, and if we ever visit the area again we will get Thai...

Found this place after a google search for Thai restaurants and the prices on the website didn’t look bad … unfortunately when we got there we discovered the prices on the website were incorrect and not up-to-date … the prices were actually significantly more. After the restaurant manager told us they would not honour the prices on their website we walked out and found somewhere else to eat. We felt kindve silly having dressed up and driven into town only to be disrespected …we felt kindve cheated.

We ended up going to Chang Siam … a short drive out of town. It was packed but the atmosphere, service, and food...

Went there rather late for dinner and thought they might be closed already, as it was empty. We asked and they said it is still open and we could have our dinner. I ordered the Pad Thai and my wife had the Massaman Curry. Both dishes were absolutely wonderful - a true taste of Thailand. Having been to Thailand many times, I thought even to that standard, it was especially delicious. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We both enjoyed this authentic Thai dinner very, very much. The prices were very fair and the dishes big enough to satisfy even a big hunger. I am looking forward to my next visit there, and I will recommend this restaurant to...
