3.90 for 4 tiny donuts, the size of a burger ring is an absolute rip off. In response to the rude comments in response to my review, as this is exactly where you come, to make a review, from the owner of this business, I am also a person struggling with high food prices, rent, petrol that paid for this product, and that is no excuse for you to over charge your customers, then lecture them about respect. I was your customer, and charging 1 dollar each per tiny donut, is a rip off and if I knew they were that small, I wouldn't have purchased them, and I'd say this all to you in person, but after your response I won't be purchasing a single thing from your fish and chip shop. If I was to say this in person would I be screamed and yelled at in your shop in front of other customers? I believe I would, Because you sound aggressive and unprofessional here. I refuse to support any business regardless of size, that treat their customers like this when they make a fair complaint.

I thought for a pre birthday treat I would get a piece of snapper as I heard Lewis St had it there. There's been a lot of talk how they're a good F&C shop, so the bar was high. I got one fish 1 snapper and half a scoop. OMG YUM YUM YUM. Snapper9.5/10 fresh, normal fish was 10/10 chips half a scoop 10/10 crispy fresh the normal fish was so good and I would normally rate snapper the best, I couldn't this time. Couldn't eat all the chips the snapper was so big. Overall a great experience not greasy. Sorry the photos only showed half left, I was a pig and couldn't wait lol well done Lewis St.😍😍

Went a bit further from my local to Lewis St for the first time today and it was well worth it. One of the few remaining fish and chip shops in CHCH that still cook in animal fat (beef tallow). Hand cut their own chips too. They change their frying oil every Friday which is far more often than a lot of places. Long time family owned business that deserve all the support. Highly recommended!

Went a bit further from my local to Lewis St for the first time today and it was well worth it. One of the few remaining fish and chip shops in CHCH that still cook in animal fat (beef tallow). We have never really been big fans of Fish and Chips, but when we moved to the area we gave this place a go and it is now a regular treat for the whole family. Great service, friendly and fast, they communicate well on social media and in person. Prices are excellent for portion size and quality. We rate Lewis Street Food Bar as one of the best F&C shops we have eaten from. We will keep coming back.
