Coppell Place Seafood — Local services in Christchurch

The size of the servings are great and recommend to all and the service is average the staff needs to pay a lot more attention to their customers and the atmosphere is it's abit too small in the shop as when it's busy you need to wait outside for your order as there is not enough room in the shop to wait. Also had takaways tonight and they were great the half scoop was like a full scoop and I had a chicken burger and all it was is a chicken pattie (processed meat) but if they did a chicken fillet it would of been the upper most enjoying meal I will definitely go back to this place for takaways good for a small budget

I would ask Coppell place seafoods that they put an UpTo date menu on this google description as it would be good to know what their exact prices in case we want to do a phone order

This fish and chip shop used to be great, how ever the standard has dropped significantly. Tonight I ordered 2 fish and a Half scoop and what seemed like Half the grease from the cooker, my food was so heavy in grease it soaked through both layers of paper. The young girls who man the phones and take orders are lovely and always offer great customer service, but the older woman who usually serves the food seems to not really care about letting the grease drain from the basket first. I'm quite saddened that my local has turned out this way. I would recommend this place only if you enjoy 'GREASY'...

My local fish and chip shop, I find them to be well priced and fair portion sizes most of the time. However some of the other reviews are valid as I find they can be inconsistent, sometimes the food is too greasy or salty and portion sizes can vary. It seems to depend on who is working. That said 90% of the time they are great, not the best I have ever had but certainly satisfying at a reasonable cost.
