Did a Lunchtime takeaway today. 2x Chicken Satay and 1x Money bags for entrée. First point is their prices have gone up to $12 from $10 but their sign still says $10. I ordered and was charged $30. Money bags were $6 - half the price of a meal but there were only 4 of them! The main meals were served in a standard size plastic container but the boiled rice was in there as well and it only 3/4 filled the container! The Satay "Chicken" was mostly vegetables with 4-5 pieces of Small bits of shaved chicken packed out with Broccoli and other vegetables. No exaggeration, I was still hungry afterwards and had a SANDWICH! I would not return there, but would instead stick to going to our local Thai "Rendezvous" in Barrington where we usually go - but thought we might try somewhere else on this occasion only to be very disappointed. The only reason I did not give it 1 star was because what food there was, was reasonably tasty albeit with the...

There was a really lovely atmosphere about it and my partner and I were feeling Thai for dinner, a perfect place for a date night we thought. It was really quite busy, although after eating there I can't see why. The food was pretty mediocre for the price - the green curry was super watery, the chicken wings were overcooked, and the drunken noodles were bland and rubbery (the meat was pretty good though, compared to everything else anyway). I also couldn't believe we were paying $5 for a drink the size of a can of soda. Overall, I can't say I hated the place, but I can say that I won't be going back. I think my partner and I will stick with our local even if it means a bit of an extra drive to go to CHILLIKIWI Thai Kitchen over in Papanui. To sum it up - the staff were lovely, the place was a vibe, but the food was NOT it - if this was my first time experiencing thai food, it would probably be my last based on the...

1 hour wait for delivery. Ordered online, where it stated 40 minutes for delivery once I completed the order. I might have missed seeing that before I completed, I wouldn't have gone through with the order if I had seen it was that long. Anyway, it took an hour. I ordered medium duck curry, which was extremely hot and i ended up just picking the meat out. The pad thai I ordered for my grandaughter ended up just getting thrown out. It was very tomato tasting and had a slimy texture. I tried it, and so did my son, and it wasn't nice. Never had one like that before. The chicken satay entree was very nice. Thank goodness, as that was all we could eat! What a...

I've found it, the most delicious Thai food Christchurch has to offer - it is absolutely divine! Due to work obligations with travelling the area both yesterday and today, I've chosen to eat here two days in a row for lunch, it's just that delicious!! A dainty little restaurant that you could miss in the cluster of shops - don't make this mistake! It has lovely interior and design, gorgeous plants inside and one of the cleanest public restrooms I've used - with the lovely added touches of moisturiser or hand sanitiser afterwards! Would highly recommend and will be eating here for the rest of my life!

There's no doubt, the decor of this place is pretty charming. However, we found the tom yum soup a bit too tangy, the pad Thai noodles was sweet. The crispy chicken was not hot (temperature) and was warm at best. We were served everything together, which may have had something to do with it. Remember to ask for the soup first if you don't like eating your mains with the soup and also ask for the spice levels to be altered. Our waitress did mention that they were very busy and we could hear a lot of animated chatting from the kitchen all the way to the back of the restaurant 😀

Definitely Thai shefs. Menu is OK for wide range of diets - from vegan to vegetarian to carnivorous. Reasonable prices. Top of the dinner plate was a sizzling plate of chef special crispy duck and tamarind sauce. Vegan drunken noodles were also very nice and choi choe (spelt it wrong, of course) lightly battered fish was also quite good. Fly circling the table was annoying though. Hint to the owners - do wash off washing liquid from the glasses - water in Christchurch is too good and this detergent taste becomes immediately apparent.
