Today I made a phone order of Chicken with Pineapple on fried rice. $15

This meal is generous. Great tasting. Enough for two or three people really.

Generous amounts of Chicken, vegetables, Capsicum and Pineapple. It was seasoned perfect.

The vegetables are fresh and not overcooked. The sauce is tasty. There was definitely more meal than rice which is perfect.

The inside of the store could need with a clean. Wiped tables. Washed floors and a little personality added....but I wasn't there to eat in.

Pleasant staff, lovely greeting on entering. Young lady served me with a smile and said thank you to me.

There wasn't a long wait as I had put in a phone order while stuck in traffic.

Thanks team. A very happy customer here.

I rung back and passed on my gratitude for my lovely meal.

BEST STANDARD CHINESE TAKEAWAY IN CHRISTCHIURCH

I now feel duty-bound to tell everyone else about this excellent old fashioned 'Chinese Takeaway' place in Hoon Hay/Hillmorton.

You pay only for the food & not only is it good, it's old styled feed-your-flat on-one- dish @ $13.50 average + rice.

I'm a foodie & reasonably well versed in Vietnamese & Asian/NZ fusion cooking but when it comes to yearning for a generous plate of Black Bean steak on veges or (my fav) their BBQ pork fried rice etc you cannot beat this place in Christchurch.

I've witnessed the quality decline of the Riccarton Rd noodle cartel and that trend ain't gunna get much better.

So....hit Wing Wah before it's too late.

Ordered takeaway from here for lunch. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, steak fried noodles and veg fried rice! The fried rice was really good not the best I’ve ever had but definitely up there. The sweet and sour pork was also really delicious and better than most Chinese takeaways. The only let down we had was the fried noodles. they were quite soggy and almost watery by the time we got home and started eating it, they also lacked any flavour!
