New World Kaikoura — Local services in Kaikōura

Great selection of groceries and plenty of parking. No issues there and lovely experience for our first visit in NZ grocery store. We didn't go at a busy time. We bought a Kaikoura grocery bag for our groceries and went to the cashier as our hands were full and I had a broken finger (down to one hand). Staff member did not bother to help to put things into the bag even when I opened it up for her; we weren't even expecting it be packed - simply put them in the bag. Nope, just kept sliding it across - it would just hit the grocery bag. If I had just wanted self-serve I would've gotten better service with the machines; even at Aldi. We had one of the BEST experiences at kaikoura new world tonight! They had everything we needed, were well stocked, everything looked super fresh and the variety was awesome!! To top it all off we were served by a cashier at the checkout named Max who super awesome! He had personality plus and was super attentive, good sense of humour and even cleaned the counter between customers! I would give him a pay rise before someone else nabs him...fabulous little worker!!! Thanks team...
