This is a charming home business where the owner is incredibly accommodating with pickup times, making the whole experience seamless. Brought a strawberry cake for my son’s birthday party on 21/12/24, pick up at 10am and cutting it at 4pm. When I cut it I found that the lower layer of the cake were frozen!! the cream, the strawberry were totally frozen. I asked the owner immediately and he said it was because the temperature of their commercial fridge was too low so it made it freeze… but firstly I put it in my normal fridge for 6 hours then take it out to cut and it still frozen, secondly the top layer is totally fine like a normal fresh cake so the reason he gave me was not make sense ..so disappointed!! Our original plan fell through when our friend cancelled at the last minute, but Wanamaker stepped up and delivered an exceptional cake on very short notice, despite being officially closed on the day we needed a cake.
