Marlborough Skatepark — Attraction in Kaipātiki

It's not really a skateboard park after my 3 visits there there were a bunch of 10- 12 year old boys riding scooters and literally following skateboarders around and basically blocking their paths or were just standing around with their scooters as to 'hog' areas where skateboarders wanted to ride including my 2 young Grandsons, as I couldn't see many parents near or around the skatepark, I presumed they were in a group amongst themselves... Once was ok , twice wasn't nice , 3rd was just turd. So you northshore people need to get a grip , this is Auckland not...

2017Auckland regional council upgraded Marlborough Park & theyre at it again in Dec 2019-They have fenced off the skate bowl & brought in excavators to dig up & re design.

There are two metre footpaths around & through Marlborough Park an excellent challenge of skills for kids that have progressed on their bikes from trainer wheels. Hey there me and mate went there yesterday and today and found the drainage poor. Mud in the corners by the spine and over in the bowl end right where you want to ride or skate. Just curious as to the upkeep of this park in the mornings the obstructions should be cleared out for daily use or some people will end up hurt. I notice some sticks aswell so yea unless i got paid to do that im not cleaning it up. We wanted to have an awsum day so apart from that cool park. Just needs a bit of maintaining after bad...
