CityFitness Manurewa — Local services in Manurewa

It’s been 5 years I joined city fitness gym. I have been to most of the city fitness gym’s in Auckland but last night would have been one the worst and bad experience and customer service I had with Manurewa city fitness. I don’t often go to Manurewa but I happened to be in town and one of the closest gym to go to for a work out. So what happened was I walked in and there was a guy standing at the receptionist so as I walked towards him he gave unprofessional customer service with no greetings and standing with attitude. He started to approached with a bad attitude and gave me with up lifting his eyebrows "no hi, no hello” Anyways! my wife has black card so i tried to go in but it doesn’t work because she was behind on payment and I asked him to check the card and he double check the key number as I did use this same card to come in the day before for my workout so from then he gave me that look like I stole the card. He asked me about the card and I said this is my partner’s card and I also had card but I’m on basic membership. After that he said this black card is the basic card and I said but she paying for black card and we been to many other Gyms too with this card and he said I can’t let you go in because she is on basic not on black card membership. He tried to take my wife’s black card off of me and tried to give me the new red card without me knowing anything with no notice. After standing their and wasting my 20 mins waiting he then realised she is on black card not on basic. So, I asked him I will pay the over due amount and let me go in. This whole situation put my mood off and angry as I would have of wanted proper customer service with better attitude. Once I made the payment he then allowed me inside and while I was walking towards go in their were a couple who scanned in with one card which I know for sure it is not allowed and how is it fair as he just watched them both walked in and not having to say anything. I find this kinda of racism as I am Indian and my wife is islander and him giving me all these looks and services with attitude cause I walked in with my wife’s card and wanting to pay the over due amount is not good enough. I really hope this guy can do a lot better especially with situations like this. We deserve to be treated better and equally like everyone else. They don’t even look after the changing rooms and bathrooms and while I was sitting in the changing room two boys walks in with a rugby ball and started playing passes and kicks in the changing room as I almost got hit from the ball cause this is not safe for me or anyone who walks in the changing room not knowing what is coming around the corner. And one last thing is vaping allowed to be used in the gym? Cause majority of the time I always see people vaping and it’s not good for my health to be in a area where...

As I found out that gym was opening up, this time last year, I was keen to join that gym and sign up to apply for membership, and it's a very amazing environment to workout and to plenty of amazing exercise along with a balanced diet, and lifestyle and I also remember when that very same building as that very same facility on Maich Road out behind South Mall, used to be the Manurewa RSA where for Special Olympics Tier 2 Events it's Dinner and Disco at the Manurewa RSA, as I know that in 2020 the Manurewa RSA, moved into the Cosmopolitan Club on Alfristen Road, and that former Manurewa RSA complex, the Cityfitness Manurewa Gym moved into as I realized it was the new gym, and I was keen to sign up for membership at that new gym, and it's very flash and it has very amazing facilities at the back of the gym, showing facilities through the changing rooms, and lockers, even cubby holes where I can put my gear, and it has weights equipment and all the right accessories any gym would need, and it has treadmills and an eftpos vending machine, and it also has massage chairs, where I can go for a massage if I want, and the staff are very friendly, and always punctual and sophisticated and well organized, and very up-to-date with their work and dedicated professionals, and it has all the equipment and I can do dumbbell exercises, there also personal trainers available to give me support and assistance at all times, with any plans or routine checks, and to do assessments, and late last year I was so thrilled and very proud to become a member of this new gym just after it opened up...

I tend to go around 2am when the gym is empty, more machines available and you're not waiting for anyone, although even in peak times there's still room and machines available to use. Changing rooms are open throughout the night which is really convenient if you're a shift worker like me and you need to shower and go to work from there. There are carparks in the front and also some around the side of the building as well. The best part is the people are awesome, everyone in the same boat, reaching the same goal. I feel very comfortable here with non judgemental vibes. People will often say hi to you when you arrive and leave, the staff are awesome as well, out of all the city fitness gyms, ive found the one, and when you've found that place, you're more likely to keep going....shot manurewa city fitness you guys are...
