Cafe KOKO, omg! What a wholesome cafe! You immediately feel warm and welcome upon walking in. The owners are soo kind and seem to be very beautiful, genuine people. This place really pulled all my heart strings if you can’t tell already! The little signs/drawings on the walls are sweetest. A small space with a lot of character. Truly a gem. I’d recommend everyone to give this place a go if you’re nearby. As for the food it was delicious! I looove the Tofu Salad and I’ll definitely come back for more! Japanese teas are new one for me so I tried the Sen-cha (Green Tea), it was too strong for my liking but my husband loved it, hehe. Next time I’ll give one of the other two options a go! Overall I had a wonderful experience, thank you!

Definitely had reservations about this place but I was pleasantly surprised. Nestled in a cosy corner, this charming Japanese shop is a hidden gem that reminds me of restaurants we visited in our trips to Japan with its authenticity. The service is impeccable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, making you feel like a valued guest. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the ramen, which should be eaten inhouse. We also got the katsu curry and chicken karage curry which is really good too - we ate it too quickly to take a photo. Decent size portion sizes as well for a big eater.

I've come to Cafe Koko a few times and forgotten to leave reviews or take photos but today I finally did it. Everything we ordered was packed freshly cooked and as soon as we got home we had to eat. The flavor of the yakisoba was delicious. The salad was so good, each texture complimented each other. Our Takoyaki was piping hot and the karage was crunchy and juicy. The owners are so friendly and catering. They always have smiles and this cafe tucked in the corner of Southmall is definitely a gem 💎.

The owner is so friendly and I like the very homely atmosphere in the shop. The food was a standard yummy quality but the pricing was a bit on the high end of what I ordered, and I wished it could be either lower pricing or maybe change a little of the content of the meal. I ordered salmon bento box, that comes with rice, edamame, salad, 2x takoyaki, karagge chicken and salmon slabs on top of the rice. It was a good variety but all of the meat are deep fried and I paid $35 for it.

Maybe it's the price in Manukau that are in general on the high end but to be honest I can find plenty similar standard or even better ones for less than $30 in Auckland CBD.

Still enjoy the food though, thank...
