Firstly I'd like too say that this is one of the few places in Rewa you can get a more healthy option in terms of food which is so cool 😎 that being said having been here before post covid , I remember it being much better than what I had tonight. In terms of flavour it was all there , the broth of my Beef Stew was amazing and some of my beef was cooked perfect , my carrots were the perfect texture that soft but still alttlle bite back kinda texture . But , I had some meat that was soft and fall of the bone kinda feeling and others that were still tough . I even had one piece that still had the trimming on it , that got stuck in my teeth , which was the best . It was also kinda greasy , like the oil hadn't been skimmed at all (which anyone in culinary knows is a must with beef stew as it is still such a greasy meat). Same for the lemon grass chicken , it had a lot of oil dripping off it like it hadn't been drained when coming out of the frier 🤔 The lemon grass chicken was flavourful and packed the punch I wanted , but it was kinda dry and alittle chewy almost , maybe I had taken too long picking up my order , idk. But I was kinda sad by the texture of the chicken . All in all , I would still recommend this spot even though this time rounds experience wasn't the best , cause I have had them before and been really happy with what I got , and it way more delicious than McDonald's and much more healthy.

I recently visited the branch in Otara, they specified they’ve been open for 6 months. Service was pristine, they also gave free containers & bags. Definitely on the pricier side, I spent $142 for my little family just to try a variety of different plates & drinks. 6 plates & 4 drinks. Food seem’d to be a little average in taste, their dry noodle duck soup was ok! Milk shakes were great. I had bought T1, 2 choices of bbq for $45, we didn’t finish that so we took it home. Two hours of it being in the fridge we decided to reheat the food, and when we removed it from the microwave, it smelled expired, we tasted it, and it was definitely off. The rice was also rock hard. Literally two hours after service. So it seems like we did not pick up the taste when we ate there but the longer we had it the older it tasted. Probably wouldn’t go back because of that.

The pho is pretty average tbh The rare beef pho came out and the meat was already cooked, not sliced thinly. Very little herbs, a few little pinches of cilantro but nothing else no mint or anything. The broth wasn’t a deep rich broth I’m use to from the many hours of slow cooking the broth so probably missed a few steps in the process there The pork chop noodle soup was the saving dish, soup was delicious and came out piping hot, forgot to mention the pho was just warm. Anyway the pork chop itself was crispy and juicy and paired well with the noodles! The saving of this review was this dish! So yeah skip the pho and get the pork chop noodle soup

Bad experience this evening Pho Kitchen Manurewa

My daughter ordered via phone order her usual for takeaway which included the rare beef noodle soup. Before she could give her name for the order she gets hung up on. I arrive at the restaurant to collect the order. As I’m driving home I think to myself actually why is there a box in the bag when usually the soup is a bowl and the soup container. I pull my car over to check the contents and sure enough the order is not ours. I phone the store and they confirm they gave me the wrong bag and if I can return the bag and collect the right one. I arrived at the store for the second time and was offered two spring rolls from the wrong order bag to say sorry for the mix up. I drive away and bring the meal home to my daughter. Immediately she notices something is wrong with the soup. The meat looks slimy and yuck and the vegetables don’t look fresh like they usually do. My daughter isn’t keen on their spring rolls so we didn’t bother with trying those. She starts to eat the soup but everything tastes off and not like it normally does. I phone the restaurant for the second time explaining our issue. The same staff who we have been dealing with offers to make us up a new replacement one but we don’t want to risk receiving another bad soup so we request a refund. I drive to the restaurant for a third time within the hour and return the partially consumed meal. Staff gave me a reason on why this could happen e.g plastic container could change the meat/soup at the same time he did not look like he really cared. He then said he could check with them (I assume owner or chef) about the meat and perhaps could be a different cut of meat used. But instead of going to check he throws our food in the rubbish and that was that. No follow up to what really is the issue here. I walked away with my refund but to be honest we are not going back here after this. When I arrived home my daughter just told me she got diarrhoea after I left to return the soup. So we will not return to Pho Kitchen Manurewa. Sadly after being regular customers for a while now. My petrol money and food bill money can go elsewhere.

Edit to add my daughter has contracted food poisoning from Pho Kitchen. She now has diarrhoea and vomitting since eating the soup tonight. I have reported the food poisoning to the public...
