JP's on Jervis — Local services in North Island

Come here often and the food was always delicious, good quality, cooked fresh with plenty of toppings etc. Over the past month or so the standards seem to have slipped. The chips are never cooked right through anymore. They looked cooked, but are always a bit hardish when bitten into and not crunchy (every time I have come lately they have been like this). The toppings have lessened in the burgers also. The prices are cheap, but maybe think about putting them up a bit to give customers more quantity of avos, bacon, cheese etc. The size of the chicken patties range vastly also, some are big and thick where as are some are very skinny and don’t have much to them. Often when we buy more than one chicken burger, the size of one of the patties will be a lot smaller than the one in the other burger. So some consistency regarding sizing would be beneficial also to stop customers feeling a little disappointed. When cooked with love, these burgers are delicious....

A true Covid success story where out of the ashes of tourism shutdown, a small neighborhood business arose to serve those nearby. JP and his wife bought a small fried chicken storefront just 3 years ago and without doubt do make the Best Burgers in Town. Yes, it’s in a neighborhood and not downtown or even close to a tourist area of Rotorua but that only adds to the charm. Tidy little tables and chairs with outdoor seating plus being greeted like old friends or even family just makes everything cozy. Oh yeah, the burgers indeed are, The Best in Town but try JP’s Louisiana style fried chicken or one of the other delicious meals. Delivery by Uber Eats, ample parking even for caravans, pre-order for Takeaway pickup and EFTPOS accepted. JP’s on Jervis is conveniently located near the Stadium as well as the Rotorua Tennis Club. I had the monstrous BBQ double burger and she had the massive Cheeseburger Loaded Fries....

now THAT is a burger! damn. fresh and tasty. the beef is clearly fresh and not frozen. the bun was absolutely perfect. this guy knows what he's doing! the prices are fair, and there's plenty on the menu to choose from. I'll definitely be back for more.

edit: finally made it back for more! and again I was super impressed, the size of the basic cheeseburger is great, filled me right up. free to add extra pickles so extra points for that.

I tried my friends fried chicken burger and even tho I don't believe in chicken burgers ;) I reckon next time I'll get one of those coz it was amazing!
