The Factory Smokehouse and Grill — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

The guy who is running this place knows what he is doing. The restaurant is a little bit tucked away on the corner between a couple of other shops. We were lucky enough to walk in and get seated without a reservations - maybe call ahead before rocking up. We were immediately greeted and given the regular menus and drink menus. The place is set in an open table type setting with no table service - you just order at the bar.

We ordered a burger with chips and the dory fish and chips. WOW! Amazing food made of high-quality ingredients. You can't visit Rotorua and not stop in at this place. I went in with my husband but there were large tables of families too! Lot's of food options including a bar with soda, beer, and other alcohol.

Great enviroment with even better service. Didn't catch the name of the guy running the show but he was friendly, accomodating, and made sure everything was up to standard. 10/10 no...

We decided to visit The Factory Smokehouse and Grill for dinner because of their high ratings. The food was OK. We had 1/3 Rack of Ribs with Big Red BBQ Glaze, Pork Belly with Orange Pop Sauce, a serving of Chips, Factory Slaw, Corn on the Cob, and BLT Burger for dinner and Mississippi Mudcake and Lemon Cheesecake for dessert. The burger was great, but we were not impressed with the rest of the food. Corn on the Cob was very bland, I think adding some mayonnaise or butter with herbs would make it so much better. Extremely delicious ! The must-try restaurant in Rotorua! The grilled rib is very soft and you can easily tear apart the meat from the bone! Adding some pepper and salt will make it more delicious! The french fries is also quite awesome! Very delicious can crispy! I can’t tell the reason but it’s extremely delicious!!! Also the garlic bread is also very crispy and smells terrific! Anyway, the experience that day is wonderful for my friend and me. We all enjoyed the meal at the factory. By the way, we ordered “the meal for two” it’s a good deal.
