We bought a tray of N.Z. beef rump steak on the weekend and decided to BBQ it for dinner tonight.The steak was packaged on a large tray and at $24.95 per kilo looked like a reasonable quantity.However upon removing the meat from the tray it had been sliced very thinly and was not much thicker than wiener schnitzel.I bbq'ed it for 2 mins aside because of its thin- ness and it was cooked perfectly at med.rare.Upon trying to eat it we found it was full of sinew and tough.My wife refused to eat hers because of its toughness,I ate mine but did not enjoy it at all.Possibly it came from a boner dairy cow.Regardless the packaging mis-represented the quantity and quality of the meat and at $24.95 per kilo it was top price for rump steak(if you can call it that).With the number of supermarkets in Rotorua now and more coming you sell product like this at your own risk.We...

Gotta be honest, I don’t usually do my big shop here. What I do love is they stock lines and products the other supermarkets don’t, for instance; Jersey Girl Organic Milk. I really like this particular brand and come here to buy it. The produce dept always looks so so good. I also enjoy perusing their craft beer area every now and then. I am no expert, but they always keep this area well merchandised. The art work on some of the cans is something to behold!..and sometimes better than what’s stored within the can..But that’s another story! This supermarket is always well staffed that’s for sure! Placed order didn’t receive all goods driver said would receive by 6pm delivery scheduled for 3.30-5.30 rang online number held on for 45 minutes no response rang shop number to be told that driver went home and that would get next driver to bring but that they were running late for next orders I think that I would have been a priority as I was earlier schedule had to keep on ringing in asking what was happening only got a promise it was on way after I told them I was coming in to sort it out !!!
