Market Central Taupō — Local services in North Island

As out of town visitors, Hubby and I were most disappointed this morning after getting ourselves organized bright and early to travel in to attend the markets, after having found via Google that there were markets held both on Saturdays and Sundays in Taupo and then found an empty park. After driving around and double checking we had the details correct we decided to call into the information centre only to be told that it had been cancelled. Apparently posting was on Facebook??? that's great if people knew that this market had a facebook page, there is NO reference to it when you bring it up via search engine, and it was still showing...

Hey there! I recently checked out the Taupo Market and it was awesome. It's a great place to just chill and have fun with the family. There are heaps of yummy food options and some really cool arts and crafts stalls, with something for kids and adults to enjoy. While there, we stopped by Margie's Dutch Pancakes and indulged in their mouth-watering pancakes - they were so delicious and perfect for sharing with friends and family! Happened to see the market open today. Great market with a lot of interesting stuff, including high standard Manuka honey, fresh milk, handmade chocolate, cutting flowers like lavender, alstroemeria and dahlia, hand crafted items, etc. This market is more like an annual fair at other places, with its leisure, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. It was a pity that we did not have too much time wandering around. If I have the chance in the future, I will definitely come back and spend more time in the market to explore its...
