Lake Taupo is memerizes you from the moment you see it's beauty. The more you see, the more you fall in love with it. First, it is so HUGE..Second Purity of water is unbelievable - you can see the stones and sand through your eyes. And third and most is the colour - in the morning it is white later as sunrises and goes on the top it turns to dark blue..its real colour..!!

Taupo Lakefront Reserve has undergone some fantastic recent developments, making it a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike. The redesign has truly transformed the area into a more pedestrian-friendly and serene environment. The expanded pathways now provide ample space for walkers, joggers, and families to enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Taupo without worrying about traffic.

One of the most notable changes is the minimised and controlled traffic along the lakefront. The new layout ensures vehicles are kept at a safe distance, enhancing safety and reducing noise pollution. I also loved the thoughtful placement of wayboards, especially the one that reads, "No parking as people are enjoying the lake view." This small yet significant detail encourages everyone to respect the purpose of the reserve – a place to relax and connect with nature.

The reserve is also well-maintained, with plenty of seating areas to enjoy the panoramic lake views and beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic, a quiet read, or just soaking up the peaceful vibes.
