Motu Trails Ltd — Local services in North Island

In short: We tried to rent 2 mountainbikes to do the Pakihi Trail but it was not possible for the Motu Trails Team to assemble 2 mountainbikes that are safe to ride so they cancelled our trip without any excuse after 1h of fixing 4 bikes. Just don´t try to rent a bike there, they do not bother about maintenance at all, easy to tell.

All the bikes had issues, like not working gear shifting, holes in the tires (and they charge you for using their tubes if you have a flat on the trail, haha), brakes not working, not even to mention the non functioning suspension fork. If we wouldn´t have asked for fixing the problems when we arrived they would have sent us with really unsafe equipment on the trail, unbelievable. They had plenty of time because we booked via phone days in advance.
