To the lovely, kind woman on the check out. Last Friday 10th June 2021. I had had a bit of a rough day finding out my Aunty had just passed away and a couple hours before i went to do my shopping i had been to the vet to have my beautiful 14 year old dog put to sleep. I became upset while i was in the Stratford store. This kind, compassionate lady working at the check out saw me as i waited to get served. She went out of her way to ask another staff member to offer me some tissues and asked if i was ok. She wasnt just asking to impress others or look good. She genuiely cared. She was kind, understanding, compassionate and listened to why i was upset. While quickly insuring my food was packed so i could get home. Yesterday Friday 17th i ended up being served by the same check out lady. She remembered me straight away and asked how i was and that she had been thinking about me and hoped i was ok. Again showing how kind and caring she really is. This time i had to put back a couple of items as i didnt have enough money to pay for them. This compassionate woman then asked another staff member to put through her cash flow card, (must be a regulation) to pay for the amount owing! To the management/owners of Stratford New World thank you for employing such a wonderful, caring, kind human being. She really deserves to be acknowledged, praised and congratulated for going over and above her role as a check out operator in your store. We need more people like this lady in own...
Read moreThe electronic signs dont work properly and the staff dont sell the item for the advertised price, instead they overcharge. The staff were rude and obnoxious with no regards to the way they presented themselves or behaved. Many others i have talked to have had the same experience and refuse to go back. The store is cramped with barely any room to move around and do shopping.
Staff are also very intrusive as to what you purchase as they look into your trolley when you are waiting to be served and have no sense of professionalism and often comment on the 'personal' items that you buy that they have no business in.
No greeting from staff when you walk past them and they often push you around to get past. In the morning trolleys full of stock block off the aisles and staff stand around and talk rather loudly about personal affairs that aren't appropriate for the work place instead of focusing...
Read moreWhen I was recently recovering right after an accident, I was using crutches as I was unable to walk steady on my two feet. When I finally made my way to the cashier, I asked the young employee "what shall I do" as I was obviously struggling. She just looked at me and said "put it on the belt", as a result of doing so one of the jars fell and broke. I was absolutely shocked at the action and response this young lady took upon herself towards me. I expected at least decent customer service. When I see some one who is handicapped and/or struggling I offer to help as any other good person would do, it's common sense. This was not a good experience and I avoid going back to New World Stratford. Not only on countless occasions are they overpriced with terrible management, but the majority of staff are rude, contempt and have zero simple respect for...
