Such an amazing place. They have an animal hospital here. They take in injured animals and nurse them back to health and then release them back into the wild. They also have a walkthrough aviary that houses tuatara and a variety of native birds and two breeding aviaries for the endangered whio (blue duck) and pāteke (brown teal). They also have a treatment room for wildlife care, and the interactive Powerco Education Centre which is fantastic for learning for both kids and adults alike. Its all absolutely free as well.
