The food was sublime. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the sausages were perfectly cooked—definitely some of the best we've had! To top it off, the coffee was exceptional—rich, smooth, and the perfect pick-me-up.

I really hate to be the person who complains about having the privilege of treating myself to a coffee in today’s climate, but here we go. I stopped into the new-ish Fergbutcher the other day for a couple of coffees and some sausages for the BBQ. I paid $14 for two regular oat milk flat whites, which, even for Arrowtown, is on the higher end of the price scale. I would rate the coffee a 2/10; it had a very pale flavor, was lukewarm, and was just overall a bad experience. The girl who served me was chewing gum, and I had to ask her three times to repeat herself because I couldn’t understand a word she was saying.

I usually give places a second chance when it comes to coffee, as we’re all capable of making a bad shot. So, I went back three days later and, unfortunately, got the same subpar coffee. In total, I spent $28 on four mediocre brews. Will I be going back?...
