I stopped into the new-ish Fergbutcher the other day for a couple of coffees and some sausages for the BBQ. I paid $14 for two regular oat milk flat whites, which, even for Arrowtown, is on the higher end of the price scale. I would rate the coffee a 2/10; it had a very pale flavor, was lukewarm, and was just overall a bad experience. The girl who served me was chewing gum, and I had to ask her three times to repeat herself because I couldnât understand a word she was saying.
I usually give places a second chance when it comes to coffee, as weâre all capable of making a bad shot. So, I went back three days later and, unfortunately, got the same subpar coffee. In total, I spent $28 on four mediocre brews. Will I be going back?...
