I had the pleasure of visiting Defence Raya Golf and Country Club over the weekend when an old friend of mine was in town and staying there. I must say, the experience was quite impressive overall.

My friend had originally booked a one-bedroom room for 25K a night, but to our pleasant surprise, he was upgraded to a much larger suite that typically costs around 70K per night. The upgrade truly elevated the entire experience. The room was spacious, featuring a large sitting area that was perfect for relaxing and catching up after a long day.

The room itself was spotlessly clean, which is always a top priority for me. The temperature control was excellent, ensuring that we were comfortable throughout our stay, regardless of the weather outside. One of the highlights was the two balconies attached to the suite, offering lovely views and a great spot to enjoy the morning or evening breeze.

The amenities at Defence Raya are top-notch, from the golf course to the dining options. Although I didn’t get a chance to explore every feature, what I did experience was certainly of high quality. The staff were professional and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the price, especially for the upgraded room, might be a bit steep for some. However, for those looking for a luxurious experience in a serene environment, Defence Raya Golf and Country Club is definitely worth considering.

Booked 2 nights at Defence Raya Golf and Country Club via Agoda, food, and facilities are excellent, but I had to cut my stay short due to the non-cooperative, rude behavior of the male reception staff. They gave me a room above the gym despite quieter options being available, and constant gym noise ruined our stay. On the second day, they made us change rooms, again putting us in a noisy spot even further away. Rooms below #120 are fine, above that... avoid! Complaints were ignored, and despite Agoda clearly stating kids under 12 stay free with breakfast, they tried charging extra for my child. Thankfully, one polite female receptionist helped resolve that, but overall, due to the unprofessional attitude of the male receptionists, I lost trust in the brand.
