ARCADIAN (Prive) - Raya Markaz Phase 6 DHA
A whole new level. To be honest, the food at Arcadian’s new outlet has gone a few notches above than the other branches and that’s because of its new menu that’s launched here along with the old menu.
Started off with their new and old soups… old being Hot N Sour and new being Szechuan Rice Soup. Their hot n sour is a classic and always been my favorite but this new Szechuan Rice Soup is another level…. It’s a modified BAROODI version of Thai Soup… spice kick to the next level and should have it only if you can manage spices.
A whole new range of starters and we started off with Kung Pao Wings, Pilli Pilli Prawns, Burnt-Garlic Pepper Prawns, and Beef Taro.
Kung Pao Wings - These have become my regular at this new branch and can’t get enough of them. Battered fried with crushed peanuts and a special sauce…. Again a good spice kick and you will love it.
Pilli Pilli Prawns - Prawns in sizzling hot butter, garlic and chili flakes… need I say more?
Burnt-Garlic Pepper Prawns - dry dish with Batter fried prawns infused with the distinct aroma of burnt-garlic and a healthy dose of black pepper.
Beef Taro - this is one dish that you will order again and again as you wouldn’t event know what’s infused with the beef in the oriental sauce. Loved it.
Now to the main course….
We ordered Bang Bang Pasta, Singaporean Dry Chilli Chicken, Wuhu Fish, Red Dragon Prawns, American Chopsuey, Diablo Noodles, and Chicken Chowmein.
Since I was a kid, loved the American Chopsuey and honestly I’ve not come across any decent Chopsuey that takes me back to that time but this one did… one word to describe it… PERFECT. Perfect balance of Chicken, Shrimps, Cabbage, and scallions… and not to forget the tomato sauce. Loved it.
Singaporean Dry Chilli Chicken was excellent and though it’s name is Singaporean but it’s taste is more like a Thai dish. Chicken chowmein was moist and not dry and loaded with chicken. Wuhu Fish is from their classic menu and though I always had it in the past with chicken but it makes more sense in prawns or fish. Lastly, Bang Bang Pasta… little spicy and little tangy. Kids loved it.
Ended the note with their signature Molten Lava Cake.
The End.
A must must visit place folks and trust me you will love it.

Read moreI recently visited Arcadian Cafe in Defence Raya and wanted to share my thoughts on the experience. Overall, I found it to be an average dining experience with some areas for improvement.
Firstly, the food at Arcadian Cafe did not live up to my expectations. While there were a variety of options on the menu, the taste and quality of the dishes fell short. I found the flavors to be lacking and the presentation to be underwhelming. It would be great if the cafe could work on enhancing the taste and ensuring consistency across their dishes.
Secondly, the atmosphere of the cafe did not make a lasting impression. The ambiance felt a bit dull and lacked the charm and character that I was hoping for. Additionally, the seating arrangement could be improved to provide more comfort and privacy for diners. A more inviting and vibrant atmosphere would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
One aspect that I found disappointing was the relatively high prices at Arcadian Cafe. While I understand that quality ingredients and a pleasant dining experience come at a cost, I felt that the prices were not justified by the overall experience. It would be beneficial if the cafe could reconsider their pricing strategy to offer better value for money.
Lastly, the service at Arcadian Cafe was average. While the staff was polite and attentive, I felt that the service could have been more prompt and efficient. It would be great if the cafe could focus on improving the efficiency and attentiveness of their staff members to create a more enjoyable dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Arcadian Cafe in Defence Raya was an average experience. The food and atmosphere were not up to par, and the high prices did not align with the overall experience. However, the service was decent. With some improvements in these areas, Arcadian Cafe has the potential to provide a better dining experience for...
