Naos Island — Local services in Ancón

Avoid the Residencias Isla Naos like the plague. Don't be fooled by the lovely views of the canal. There is a reason the place is deserted and falling apart and nobody stays here. The guards make up rules on the spot that are unnecessary and stupid, like no balls in the social area, carrying your dog on the elevator, etc. On our last day, they refused to open the gate for our taxi because we had not wanted to pay $50 to the untrustworthy guards the day before to use the elevator after the admin folks had gone home and were unreachable. We and our items were basically held hostage at the place. Police were called and did nothing. The UN couldn't make them budge. We managed to get our stuff out after many hours. This place shows the worst face of Panama, truly....

Super Great view of Panama Canal...apartment we rented from owner is ok/good ...BUT these white apartments on Naos island that look fabulous on Air BNB.. have very low maintenance. Pool filthy...no jacuzzi as shown.. washers and dryers you don't want to put your clothes to wash it might make them dirtier.. and that is if they work. Dryers will not dry clothes...so that is why you see clothes...on chairs outside. Suggest you stay away from rentals here. Big issues. Drugs...police guns. We rented for...

Beautiful apartment on social area floor. Wonderful view of the Canal cargo ships going by. We were suppose to just stay two days but extended our stay as we loved it so much.
