Phutuq K'usi — Local services in Machu Picchu

Oct 2024: Even as a climber I cannot recommend this path in its current state (lacking ladders/rope/maintenance) The exposure at many points and the constant dampness creates very unsafe climbing conditions. It may seem like a risky but fun ascent (am guilty of this) but I can guarantee you will feel differently when it is time to descend. If you decide to try to make it to the top anyways, go well-prepared for bad slips or falls, and do not go alone.
