Gym environment: spacious, decent floors, good ventilation, lacks sunlight. 4/5. Drinking water: only at the entrance. 3/5. Change room: spacious, clean, personal padlocks. 5/5. Shower: did not check Toilet: did not check. Machines. Overall all machines are in very good condition. Back. Lats. There are at least 3 different lat pulldown machines. All of them are uncomfortable in regards to leg fixation. 4/5. Rows. At least 3 different chest supported row machines, but I found all of them to be uncomfortable - i could not maintain tension in the back at the lowest point, i could configure the machines in such a way. Chest supports are also very hard, they hurt. Benches are not suitable for heavy rows (poorly balanced) and maximum dumbbells are only 40 kg. 2/5. Pull ups. There is only 1 curved pull up bar, and it is shared with the crossover machine. And it is not nearly high enough (i am 183 cm tall and able to stand on the floor while holding it). There is 1 chain belt. 1/5. Shrugs. There is no shrug machine or any other machine appropriate to do shrugs. Reminder that maximum dumbbells are only 40 kg. There is a good hex bar though. 3/5. Shoulders. There is a lateral raise machine but it is very badly designed (lowest tension point is too high). There are a bunch of shoulder press machines - didn't try them. 3/5. Chest. There are 3 seated chest press machines. Not very comfortable, but not bad. There are a couple of benches with barbell racks, flat/decline/incline. Standalone benches are not very stable for serious dumbbell press work. 3/5. Leg compound exercises. There are no squat machines. There are no lunge machines. There is 1 smith machine (didn't try it out). There is 1 plate loaded leg press, moderately comfortable (i do prefer ones with a weight rack though, because they don't force you being almost upside down). There is plenty of place to do barbell squats, crossfit-style wall with attachments for holding barbells. No proper frame with supports for squats. 2/5. Quads. There is a very good, finely adjustable leg extension and that is all i need. 5/5. Hamstrings. There is a lying leg curl machine of decent quality, not the most comfortable (too short). There is no seated leg curl. There is a Russian/Nordic leg curl frame - not very high quality, but a rare thing. 4/5. Ab/adductors. 2 machines that can be used for both abduction and adduction. Good quality and comfort. 5/5. Claves. Only 1 machine with bent knee form - not a fan. The leg press is not very suitable for it with. 2/5. Cardio. Very good elliptical. Perfectly comfortable foot and arm position to apply good continuous force. The best elliptical i have ever used. 5/5. Stair master. Quite flimsy, and 1. 3/5. Treadmills. They are ok, but not perfectly stable. 4/5.
I wanted to give this gym another shot, but price for 1 month is outrageous, 290 PLN! It does get much better for multiple months, but so far i cannot justify...
Read moreI looked for a gym in my area to sign up for because I love going about 3-5 times a week and I wanted a place with a sauna. I love going to the sauna after a great workout. The worker said they have a sauna so I signed up after my one day complimentary pass. I worked out that one free day and thought everything was chill. I did not go to the sauna that day. Big mistake! So a few days after or even the next day I signed up for 12 months because there was a great deal if you do. I went to the sauna that week and found out that the glass door has a 2 inch gap on the bottom and a one and a half inch gap along the length of the door. Whoever installed that door must have not known how a sauna works. It will never heat up with such a hole. After 4 times in June of 2018 of telling them to change the door because the sauna warms up but I never break a sweat bc the heat escapes....i am here in the end of October 2018 and i went to he sauna today and the door still isn't fixed and i sat there for 20 min in the cold. This gym lies to get u to sign up. Please dont. U will be way happier at a different gym. I will start going to a far away total fitness bc I am stuck with 7 more months on my contract so that I can go to a sauna....I feel robbed honestly bc the worker blatantly lied. You dont have a sauna if it is a broken sauna. False advertisement. ...
Read moreWell... After being a client for 3 months I'm mostly dissapoined. The main reason is that they are doing everything to hook you up to keep paying. First of all there is no way to pay for the membership with cash. And this is not because some legal limitations, but because they binding your card into theirs system. I had to give my card to the administrator, so he could enter card creds INCLUDING CVV!! It means that they can charge you without approval from your side. Also, the contact is not straightforward. I thought that my membership will be automatically cancelled after 3 months, but it is actually works vise versa. 3 months is a minimum and after that it becomes indefinite. To cancel the membership it is required to notify in written form one month before. Other than the gym is not that bad. The staff speaks English, very qualified instructors. I wouldn't say that there is always clean. The equipment is fine and there is a lot of it, but in peak hours it might be tricky to use exactly what...
