Climb & Surf Camp ASA Algarve Sea Adventures LDA — Local services in Lagos

We booked 6 nights of accommodation with 5 days of activities (3 climbing, 2 surfing) with ASA.

The apartment is in the most stunning part of Luz/Lagos in my opinion, facing out to green hills with a 8-10 minute walk up to join the coastal path to Lagos where you have panoramic view of Luz and surrounded area. Walking out through the back garden is like walking through a fairy tale.

The 3 days climbing was the best climbing we've been on anywhere. Toto was so encouraging and the routes he took us on was the perfect combination of scenic and challenging. The variety of the 3 days was great as well. Climbing on a 30m cliff does get your heart pumping.

We never surfed before and thought it's time to try. It was the perfect intro into surfing. I got over my fear of the ocean and managed to catch some waves myself by the second day. The instructors were professional and made the 2 days super fun. They gave us regular feedback and corrected our mistakes and that helped us improve quickly.

I booked a rock climbing day for myself as a solo traveling college student during Thanksgiving. I was very grateful for Toto who was so easy to communicate with over WhatsApp and helped me get everything planned. He even helped me to find another climber to join our open session so it would not be as expensive for me :). The climbing was beautiful and Toto was a lovely chap. Wish I could have spent more time climbing with Algarve adventures! I will be back.

Oh ALSO after attempting a lead climb Toto told me that he didn’t feel safe with my climbing technique and that I should not proceed. This was humbling but essential to hear as I realized I wasn’t taught properly to lead climb. I was very grateful for that call out and we were able to talk more about techniques on the drive back. I went to one of the beautiful apartments at Quinta Formisinho for a week with my family. It was such a nice stay. We had our private apartment that provided a kitchen, so we cooked a lot in the beginning. Since 18th May, many restaurants nearby are open again and we really enjoyed going out for dinner, too. The apartments were super clean and we got a starter kit with disinfectant and masks. The apartment was cleaned with chloral before we arrived, so in the beginning there was a slight smell. We opened the windows for a while and it disappeared quickly. The garden is spacious - we always felt safe and could keep the distance to other guests. We went on a climbing trip with Toto and enjoyed the stunning cliff and ocean views as much as the experience of climbing itself. We also took part at some private surf lessons.
