So when you get here, bring some time as the food is not served in a hurry. It also might be that the dish you're after is out for today. The prices are slightly above average and the portions are not huge. Why I still give 5 stars? Because all of the above is good. The food here is freshly made by the chef - it is not pre-cooked or anything. It is made-to-order and therefore can take a bit longer than in other restaurants. That is fine - we did not come there to hurry through our meals. Get a wine to bridge the time ;-) . It can happen that the dish you want to order is not available anymore for the day. Why is that a good thing? Because it means, that they buy fresh and organic ingredients daily. It also means they are not wasting any food by buying too much and have to throw half of it away at the end of the day. Again, a dish not being available anymore is a good thing and the menu is big enough to find something else you'll like ;-). Prices above average while the portions are not as big? Again, good thing! The prices as such are totally justified. The food is great, it's organic, it's fresh, it has its cost. The place has only recently opened and still needs to establish itself. The 3 people working there work hard and deserve to be paid fair. The chef regularly checks in with her guests, making sure the food is good and no wishes are left open. The service is great! And we are just glad you don't get served the huge tourist portions here, where either you need to let half of your plate go back (to waste), or you stuff yourself in order to not let any food go to waste, but feel completely bloated afterwards. In most places, the portions are so huge, that you rather skip starters and dessert, because it would just be too much. The portions here have just the right size, so you can enjoy starters and dessert without worrying about ordering too much food. Totally worth it. Thanks for the nice time we had and we hope to be...

The place was recommended to me, so I went to take a look at the place and there was a notice saying that it was closed on evenings for the next 2 weeks but fortunately it reopened after a couple of days.
The place is rustic and quite small with uncomfortable child size seats. We had a rather annoying English lady as our waitress and we ordered lasagne. We were at the 1st table on the right and later realised it was where the staff kept passing by in/out of the kitchen door. At the opposite end there was a counter and a large table of people where the staff had to squeeze between that table and the counter too.
The lasagne bowl came chipped, the lasagne presented a bit messy with a burnt top (more than a nice chewy edge). Below the burnt area, the food tasted quite good, although there was little meat and variable in temperature. It is worth noting that the portion is relatively small, similar to that in served as a 'starter' in Italy with no side.
The reviews are generally much better than my experience, so I'm not sure if they were having issues (given the previous notice on the door) that made their food and service not up to their normal standard. I'm not one for causing a fuss and complaining, so we paid up and left without buying a desert.
I've included a photo as evidence where the owners should recognise their own bowl & table cloth.
I've noticed that you often respond negatively to low scoring reviews. Before you respond, please note that ALL my other reviews in the Algarve are average to high scoring and my partner will be supplying an honest review too!
UPDATE - thanks for your response. I think that you are a little confused with what the closure notice said and continue to make similar mistakes in your reply. Today is the 11th November but claim that your notice was put up on the 29th of November (which is a date in the future). See photo of your...
Read moreFluìdo is a brand new wine bar with food, on the way into Luz from the Lagos side. It occupies the same location as the very successful Chiccas, who have moved into a larger premises further into town.
Always a brave thing to open an eatery, but Valeria (from Rome) and Mario (from Naples) have created a really good and authentic experience!
The wine menu has a good mix of Italian and Portuguese options. Beers and other drinks are available.
For food, Fluído offers a daily menu of fresh Italian fare, made to order. "Only fresh Italian ingredients and express dishes made with love". The menu is short, but that is usually a good thing!
The starters had a range of bruschetta, a burrata with tomatoes, and a shareable charcuterie platter. For mains, there were a number of pasta options, though it would have been good to see specific vegan options here.
We chose a bruchetta and a burrata for starter. Both were good size. Some might have been satisfied with the burrata and tomato as a main! Both were full of flavour, with the tomatoes being stars of the show. The bruchetta is, of course, garlicky, and there were some chunks of extra garlic for those who love it, easily removed by those who don't.
For mains we had the fettuccine bolognese and the carbonara - both were delicious! Really good size portions.
The coffee was really good to finish and, even though we were quite stuffed, we tried a delicious tiramasu to share - it was really light and delicious!
We wish the best of luck to Valeria and Mario in their...
