The worst experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve used Booking for all my travels. Do not book this place unless you want to be stranded without a place to stay.
We booked the hostel 3 months in advance to make sure everything was in order. We didn’t cancel anything, and the money was taken from our account at the time stated, more than 2 weeks ahead of our trip. Everything seemed fine.
Then, the day before our trip, at 8 p.m., we received a cancellation from Booking informing us that our booking had been canceled due to overbooking. They said we’d be refunded, but we were on our own to find somewhere else to stay. If we booked through Booking again, we might get a refund of €38 for the inconvenience.
We were at a wedding the day before, so we only saw the message while we were on our way to Porto at 6 p.m. the next day. We tried to find other options, but everything cost 3 times our original booking price, which we couldn’t afford. Finally, we found something outside of Booking for double the price, and we were able to have somewhere to sleep. The fear, worry, and inconvenience we faced were indescribable. We got no help from either the establishment or Booking whatsoever. Incredibly...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Origami in Porto, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived,we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism, which immediately made us feel at home. The hotel's modern and elegant design, combined with its cleanliness and comfort, truly exceeded our expectations. Our room was not only beautifully decorated but also equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What stood out the most was the exceptional level of service provided by the owner. He is always ready to assist with a smile, offering helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. His genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Additionally, the hotel's location in Porto is perfect, providing easy access to the city's main sights and cultural landmarks.Highly recommended to start with the highest level of the bridge - this made exploring the beautiful city incredibly convenient. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Origami team, we will be coming back....

Location - just steps from the metro that will take you to Porto centre in 2 or 3 stops. Many very affordable and delicious restaurant options in walking distance. Supermarket across the street. The area is more local than touristy. So it's peaceful and quiet. Safe. The property - it is located within an apartment building and takes up half of the 2nd floor. There is an elevator. The unit itself is quite large. I felt at home. The Guests were quiet or there is sufficient sound proofing.
