Tatarstan Museum of Natural History — Local services in Kazan

A tad bit difficult to find this building. Name is written in Russian like everything else in Russia, which is the only negative point about this and Russia in general. So if you know Russian this is simply a gem of a museum. You just go inside and loose yourself. They have kept some stuff from outer space (meteorites) and some stuff from mother Earth that looks like stuff from deep outer space (rock minerals) you can look at some in my images. Overall the experience is awesome, it delivers on what you're expecting. Another thing, tickets cost about 300 or 400 rubles I don't remember exactly but I also bought an audio guide in English for 200 rubles which was helpful as I gives information about what we were witnessing but then it is difficult to understand everything they're trying to tell because audio guide doesn't go from display to display, but I'd recommend buying one. And because of this I'd rate this museum 4...

A disappointing experience. I was really excited when i heard there were fossils of dinosaurs as I've never seen one before but it was very disappointing. Half of the museum is filled with rocks (geology) the other half was just normal exhibits you'd see in any natural history museums. The biggest downside was the language, i had been to Museums in Yekaterinburg last week and they had every information written in English and here they only had information in Russian and Tatar despite the fact that the tourism flow is more here than Yekaterinburg. Also the BIGGEST irony was that MOST fossils were FAKE (artificial) made of POP, except a couple of bones most were just models, you'd only figure that out if you touch it. For 300 Rubles this museum is absolutely not worth...

Музей интересный. Правда начало не много затянуто несколько залов уж с очень давними обитателями этих земель. Ходить и изучать три зала малюсков которые жили 50 млн. лет назад не много надоедает. Хотя людей можно понять куда то же это надо все девать. Музей очень серьезно относится к своим маленьким посетителям есть и что то вроде игр на изучай родной край. Несколько залов посвящённой космосу, вообщем то не плохо сделано но как это связанно с естественной историей Татарстана не совсем понятно также широко раскрыта геология родины татар. Не то что бы это не интересно, интересно и про космос и метеориты можно потрогать тихонько но откровенно говоря у меня сложилось мнение что или нужно было забить залы или хотели сделать одну сборную солянку куда можно водить всех школьников Казани во время каникул. Вообщем по быстрому проносимся мимо всех этих сокровищ и бежим к скелетам мамонтов и пещерных медведей. Вот тут пять баллов. Классно, интересно и не капли...
