The best thing I can say about this hotel is its location. Its not far from the train station, sporting facilities and an easy walk to the Kremlin. If your only looking for a bed for the night the hotel will be fine, but more than that be careful if coming here that you know what your getting.||The rooms are very basic indeed. I had an upgraded room and the facilities were still poor, everything worked but only just. The breakfast which was included in the room rate can be a problem. If you arrive early then everything maybe available but whatever you do, don't turn up late as I did on one day because your likely to find most things gone. When we complained the breakfast lady said "we just had 60 children this morning and they eat everything".|"so" I replied "that's not my problem but yours, where's my breakfast" at which point she just shrugged her shoulders and walked off. So I complained about the lack of breakfast to the reception desk to be told "I only work on reception, the restaurant is not my responsibility, talk to them". At which point as I didn't want the only things available for breakfast which were; cold Spaghetti, dried curling cheese, or a cabbage based offering, I left and walked to the local supermarket close by where I bought some yogurt and a few other bits.||I've travelled a lot over the years in Russia, and I thought this type of old soviet style "don't give a dam" attitude had disappeared but oh no. It's live and well in the Volga Hotel.||My recommendation would be don't come here, there are much better hotels, I found out later, close by so go there. Read moreI have been staying in hotel for a month and I had no problem of any kind. |Hotel is vary close to the city center. It is in a walking distance of Kremlin, Circus, main waking street, train station and small shopping mall.|Rooms are cleaned every day. I have got clean towels once every two days. Single bead room does not have a closet for staying longer then 7-10 days so I have kept my clothes in suitcase.|Breakfast is a Swedish table and like in all eastern states consists of a strong food.|Staff is wary polite but they don't speak English so install a google translate on your mobile phone. One girl on reception speaks some English so if you have a bigger problem be at reception before 12 AM when is her shift.|They also do laundry (extra cost). |In hotel there is a small shop where you can buy water, beer or something small.|It is a non smoking hotel. If you want to smoke you have to go outside :)))|For western people, you have MacDonalds 50m away, working 24-00.|I recommend you to visit...
