Only gave 1 star so that I can comment and advise other customers about the awful service in this so called high quality tourist restaurant and shop.
The waitress Diana was completely unprofessional, we waited over an hour for a small plate of selection of sliced cold salami (which never even arrived at our table in the end) and three pieces of bread with Caviar on - her excuse was that they were busy even though many other customers came in after us and were served their orders before us - when she finally brought the caviar she slammed it down on the table and walked away without any comment or apology for the delay.
The restaurant manager Nikolai was equally appalling and unprofessional with his lack of accountability - both employees demonstrated their lack of customer service and care, which was evident because they really had no interest in us - we asked Nikolai to speak to the shop manager and he refused to tell us who it was, told us to Google it and really could not be bothered at all.
Hopefully the owner of this shop will read this and do something about the staff in this place - the shop itself is great with some nice products but the service is absolutely awful for...
Read moreI visited Magazin Kuptsov Yeliseyevykh in a cold rainy afternoon. I was shivering as I had been here and there doing some sightseeing all over the place to be welcomed with a strawberry and blueberry hot tea.
The atmosphere is outstanding. Despite being aimed for tourists I genuinely believe it's worth a visit as it sells a wide variety of Russian products which one may not know where to head in order to find it. Such is the case of some luxurious Matryoshka dolls I could find here. Not that cheap as the ones being sold at little stalls in the streets though .

I had a delicious Stroganoff along with an excellent white wine from the Rioja ( my favourite one ) I should confess the waitresses aren't that attentive but it's ok as the food pays off. A piano is playing live at the top of the arch in the store. You can find whale meat, as well as many other gourmet products. The decoration makes you feel as though are into a fairy tale. Gnomes surround the walls , lots of lights and fairies are part of the charm...
Read moreOldest shop (magazin in St Petersburg), where in the old time people of high class came to puchase high end products and have cup of coffee or a meal in the cafe downstairs 😁 Location is superb, straight on Nevski Prospekt. Building is amazing from inside and outside, there are huge scupltures on the facade ❤️ Love the window displays - playful and colourful. Inside of the building is in a vivid colours and as it was in the old age. In the middle of the shop is self-playing piano, which makes amazing music 👏 You can puchase here a lot of interesting products, like handcrafed marcipan figurines and chocolate 💝 There are staff walking around the shop who are friendly and willing to help you as they can and make your shopping a little bit easier. Definately recommend to have a peak or a coffee in the downstairs cafe, it is...
