Anse Severe — Local services in La Digue

It was one of the best beach of the island. Many cocktail bars along the way. Good beach to chill. Good for snorkelling as well but need to be careful. We tried twice. The first time the waves were a bit big. Although we managed to get to the reef, it wasnt a smooth ride. The second time the sea was calm and it was much easier. The challenge is that the section from the beach is very shallow and rocky. Once you get to the level of the three rocks its deep enough and actually quite a good spot.

Beautiful view. Lots of fish, but strong currents. We had our second snorkeling experience today and were trying to find calmer water near the side towards cap barbi.. but the current there were very strong and in seconds we were moved meters further out. Anse Severe is a beautiful and relaxing beach with stunning scenery and a great atmosphere. It’s perfect for sunbathing, taking photos and enjoying the peaceful side of La Digue.
