(Closed during COVID) We arrived there not by plan but by pure luck, because the other « sexier »places were either too expensive or the menu too poor. We were not convinced at first glance, but were welcomed by Sibert, the very nice and funny waiter. We were conquered at the first bite! We took the fish and vegetable currys and both were litterally AMAZING!! So much flavour and not too spicy for our delicate constitution, these were the best currys we had in Seychelles, by far. Wir wurden von den Kellnern sehr freundlich empfangen. Gleich zu Beginn wurde uns transparent erklärt, dass es zu längeren Wartezeiten kommen kann, da der Koch an diesem Abend alleine arbeitet – das fanden wir sehr ehrlich und positiv.

Ich habe Spare Ribs bestellt und gebeten, anstelle von Reis Pommes zu bekommen. Die Kellnerin meinte, sie müsse erst nachfragen. Da sie nicht mehr zurückkam, bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass es klappt. Nach etwa einer Stunde Wartezeit kam schließlich unser Essen – bei mir leider trotzdem mit Reis statt Pommes. Angesichts der langen Wartezeit wollte ich es aber so hinnehmen.

Die Spare Ribs selbst waren jedoch eine große Enttäuschung: kaum Fleisch, dafür überwiegend Fett und Knochen. Es wirkte fast so, als hätte jemand das Fleisch vorher entfernt. Dadurch war es leider absolut nicht zufriedenstellend. Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis passt überhaupt nicht für ein Häufchen Salat mit Reis und einem Hauch von Fleisch, was man von den Rippchen kratzt.

Fazit: Sehr netter Service und ehrliche Kommunikation, aber das Gericht „Spare Ribs“ kann ich überhaupt...
