Ohm Secrets — Local services in Singapore

Been to this place couple of times now. Although I think their USP is eyebrow threading, which is better than any other salon in Singapore, I am disappointed with their facial and waxing services. Got waxing done twice. Firstly I believe the lighting is too low to see all hair have been removed or not. Secondly, they use very thick waxing strips (just like hand-made paper). Thirdly, wax is not applied in direction of hair growth. Therefore, both these times my hair have grown back in 3-4 days. I feel my hair break rather than getting pulled out. Also, because of this waxing strip, it is immensely painful to get waxed. (P.S. I have a high pain tolerance than average people, can easily bear waxing, menstrual cramps, etc). I had once gotten a high-frequency facial done which cost me almost $200. It was below average. They don't do any face massage or any other massage with facials. One would expect a little bit massage when they are paying so much for a facial. They just scrubbed, removed some whiteheads, put steam for a good 30 minutes, then a mask and high-frequency rod. Not in that order. Secondly, the high-frequency rod was not gliding on my face at all. So the lady doing my facial, was just lifting the rod and placing it on separate areas of my face. This is contrary to one video posted by a guy on your instagram channel where this rod is easily gliding along his cheeks. Then I checked videos on YouTube also and there also the rod easily glides on everyone's face. So I'm really not sure what problem was there. But the staff is always polite and welcoming. They are warm and greet you with a smile. So I will surely be going back but not for facials and waxing but surely for threading and trying out other services. I had a really disappointing experience with underarm hard waxing here. The staff member (Darshu) couldn’t remove all the hair, even the clearly visible long patches and kept insisting it was “too short,” which just wasn’t true. I understand if some finer or shorter hairs are left behind, but this was obvious long hair that should’ve come off with proper technique.

When I asked her to go over the area again, she said she couldn’t wax it multiple times because it might damage the skin. I get that, but that’s not the customer’s fault — if it’s not done right the first time, I shouldn’t be leaving with patches of hair still there.

To be fair, I’ve never had this issue with anyone else at Ohm — this seems to only happen with Darshu. Unfortunately, it's been a consistent pattern with her, and I don’t feel confident booking with her again.
