I had not expected such a great museum about the rich history of the Bohinj area - and I mean that in a positive way, of course. The museum displays findings from the prehistoric era in Bohinj, to how leather is made, to exhibitions about 19th/20th century conflicts that affected the area.
We arrived a little before 10am, but that was no problem. We received the warmest welcome and elaborate explanations on the museum. The lady of the museum (I'm sorry I don't know her name), was the nr. 1 person who made me feel welcome in Bohinj. She also explained how to get to Ajdovski Gradec, and recommended some other spots in the area. Overall, she really elevated our stay...

Focused solely on the history of the Bohinj area in the 20th century, which by itself is a rich historical period to present!
