We went to The Stables Village Center for dinner - overall it wasn’t a great experience - our waitress was fantastic with our drinks orders and placing our food orders however when we got our food the wheels fell off - we ordered a meat platter which wasn’t great at all - for a South African menu (we went with the SA Grill) it was sorely lacking - the steak strips were dismal with no spices and the rest of the meal was red Vienna sausages, Russian Sausages, Boerrie and Meat Balls (the Boerrie and Meat Balls weren’t terrible) we ordered a side of coleslaw which was forgotten and came after our meal.
We ordered Spaghetti Bolognaise for our kids which was delicious.
At the end of our meal we asked for our bill and instead of bringing one bill or both receipts at the same time they brought one receipt- we paid this and then were told we hadn’t paid for food - this is really frustrating especially as tourists using a foreign card with all the charges. When we asked if theh were his dogs, he said they were the landlords, dont know if he knows how they treat his dogs. It upset me quite a bit, and just ruined our whole lunch watching how they were chasing the dogs, one of which...
