I deeply welcome Korean Municipality in development of such a big electronics market area for computer and electronics equipment. They (municipality and establishment corporation) spent a lot of effort and money. It was a very good idea. Well organized with parking, eating facilities etc. Giant assembly of shopping malls dedicated to electronics. Biggest in ASIA maybe in the world. BUT.. There is a BUT... I think after COVID19, everything collapsed, people lost interest in purchasing from physical stores, especially electronics. Gone.. Now the famous market Yongsan is practically a GHOST TOWN. Main Yongsan (building 4-6) is practically empty. In the complex ET LAND (building 1 see photo layout)has bunch of HIFI second hand equipment stores some camera stores but no customers not crowded. They cannot live like that. They will go bankrupt. A nearby third building (21) accross the parking is full of second hand laptops and repairers that building is relatively lively. But destined to be extinct like others..Well it's a pity to see it like that but times has changed. I spent one whole valuable day in korea in yongsan, unfortunate.. However, there is a regular shopping mall across next to yongsan train station which makes people happy after the big frustration in electronics shopping. I am sharing photos. Rest in Peace Yongsan.. What can we do? Very difficult question. E-Commerce office building might be a good revitalization attempt. Who knows..Verdict:...

Massively revamped and cleaned up from the good old labyrinth-of- grungy-stalls days, Yongsan is still the place to go in Seoul for anything electronic. MacGyver, Q, or Shiri would give their eyeteeth to be dropped here for a week's shopping.

From replacement power cables to art tablets, digital cameras, electronic keyboards, or just tech innards, this market will have it; the only trick is finding it.

Wear good shoes and either bring an insider or be prepared to ask directions every few hundred meters :)

Not a great place to eat, as the nearby food courts have also been updated, not for the better, and the prices are outrageous. Pack a lunch or grab kimpap on the street.

There are still a couple of DVD stalls with the latest movies, next to the racks of ancient, faded sword-and-sandal B-list movies and Bible tales shot in fin-de-siecle Italy, but they are getting rarer. The rows of explicit screensavers, lad mags, and p0rn videos seem to have gone under the counter as well; at least, they're no longer fronting stalls as in the past.

Overall, the cleanup has, as in many parts of Korea (Express Bus Terminal, I'm looking at you) resulted in an expensive gentrification of the area (though the tent city is still visible from the pedestrian overpass) and a loss of flavour. Thankfully, the vendors are still as knowledgable and helpful as formerly, and their patience with hangul-scanty foreigners...

You get choice phones both new and grade-one used phones. Battery and battery chargers are available. There are networking tools , computer accessories, cctv cameras and accessories, phone and computer repair, computer parts, digital locks, security gadgets, movies, several digital devices, games, home theaters, electronic watches and so on... Its a complete electronic market. One stop market. Open round the week. For sure you will get all you need and even more. The shops are easily accessible, with rest rooms located at strategic areas of the market. Some of the seller speak fluent English and are ready to assist when buying from none English speaking shop owner. The electronics market will provide all you need. One beautiful thing about the market is its proximity to I-Park mall and the rail...

Truly a haven and heaven for computer and electronic nerds galore. I came here to buy a karaoke machine. It was about 360000 won, which totally beats buying it for $600 so I didnโ€™t really bother to bargain. I may come back to buy the microphones before I leave. I donโ€™t have the best Korean but the salespeople have been pretty patient in answering all my questions and try their best too! I think I got strange looks around this place because Iโ€™m a girl, but not sure.
