Heladería La Jijonenca — Local services in Alicante

Absolutely awful service. We arrived with smiles and speaking in spanish, we are learning and trying our very best. We were met with eye rolls from the very fed up looking server. We asked for the menu and were told "the kitchen is closed" it was 10.20am. We spoke in spanish and she replied in English. We asked for a coffee and tea which took 20 minutes to arrive. We watched the servers bringing food to other tables that arrived after us so the kitchen clearly wasnt closed. The coffee was cold and extremely milky. We asked for milk for the tea and then watched as she continued walking around, not getting us milk, my friend had finished her tea and still no milk. More people arrived after us and were served food quickly. Both servers were smiley and happy at the desk until my friend went in to pay then their faces dropped and they became grumpy again. We only went here because ice and vice wasn't open. I do not recommend this place at all. There are plenty of other good cafes...

It was very bad! Do not recommend to go there. We have been eating there every day for breakfast witch have been fine. Today we ordered a sandwich with calamares and is was served with totally raw calamares. When we asked for another portion that was better fried it was denied and we had to pay for the sandwich with raw calamares. Very unpleasant and chocking experience. Will never return there and will never recommend anyone to go...

15:30 de la tarde. Me indica la "simpática" camarera que la cocina está cerrada para comer (estamos en España, parece que aún no se han enterado).

El mes pasado ya nos pasó que los desayunos los servía una mujer que por no tener parece que no tenía ni ganas de vivir, tardaron 30 min. en servirme un café, viendo como mientras el resto de mesas se iban frustradas sin haber logrado desayunar pues las tostadas (sólo sirven eso) no llegaban nunca y a la camarera le daba igual que los clientes reclamasen; nosotros atónitos viendo la reacción de esta señorita. No sé cómo el dueño de este establecimiento no actualiza su plantilla de empleados... En fin, sólo se salva la ubicación, pegado al mar, por lo demás parece que no quieran tener clientes ni ganancias, con razón está siempre medio vacío. (Mejor ir al Chiringuito Ice&Vice, justo al lado, que tiene de todo y te sirven con amabilidad y sin...
